What data about the people who use this site and its API is stored, what for and for how long.
- Site visits
- The public site asks for no sign-up and uses no tracking cookies.
- IP address
- To limit the requests per hour, the IP address of the caller is used, only temporarily (about one hour) and for that purpose. It is not saved in a log of our own. The provider that hosts the site may keep technical logs under its own policies.
- Requests made with access keys
- For requests made with keys, we store a request identifier, the date and time, which data was asked for, the parameters, how many rows were returned and the result. The IP address and the key itself are not stored in that log. It is kept for 90 days and then deleted. The daily usage totals are kept.
- What for
- To control usage, solve problems and detect abuse. It is not sold or shared.
